News Worthy - Update
March 23, 2020
March 21, 2020: Although we have attempted to update regularly and hope that each post contained valuable information about WCWC's schedule and business matters, please always visit WCWC's FB page or website (www.wcwc.biz) for the most current update.
Regarding the March 13th post, it was updated on March 16th as per below. In that update, the decision to postpone the April 22, 2020 meeting was made. (A notice to announce that meeting was included in your most recent water billing statement.)
Also, our employees' health and the health of their families are priorities. In addition, we want to also keep our customers safe and not contribute to the spreading of COVID-19. With that in mind, the lobby has been open, but business was encouraged to be handled at the drive-thru window. Very few people entered the lobby the entire week and that was appreciated. However, beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, the LOBBY WILL BE CLOSED until further notice.
Customer work orders will be handled when possible using our remote meter reading system as we have been doing. When we must visit a customer and not just for the purpose of working at the meter, it will be with the goal of maintaining social distancing outside the business or home. We will not enter premises until further notice.
The March 16th memo (attached) contains business and payment options, which include on-line at www.wcwc.biz, phone (252) 393-1515 or email - water@wcwc.biz. However, if you have been affected financially by COVID-19, do not worry. Just call our office to request a payment arrangement. (Weekends/after-hours emergencies: 252- 241-0116 or 241-9383.)
We believe that public water utilities are playing a vital role in combatting COVID-19. Follow good hand washing techniques and do it often, while avoiding touching your face. Make safe choices and do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything at all. We will do our best to assist within the parameters of safety.
